Mr. Leroy Rayam was born on November 1, 1954 to the late Ralph and Allie Mae Rayam. The Lord called his loyal and faithful servant home on Sunday March 9, 2014 at SGMC. Mr. Leroy often called “Tugga” was a very humble and loving man, and you would always see him with a smile on his face. He was a devoted member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir until his health wouldn’t permit. He attended Hamilton County High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. Mr. Leroy also served in the United States Army for 12 years and was honorably discharged.


He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ralph and Allie Mae Rayam, brother-Handy Lee Rayam, sister – Lynn Rayam Bennett, and mother-in-law Johnnie Mae Johnson.


He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife: Ruby Rayam of Lake Park, GA, Two loving and devoted children: Tony Patterson of Valdosta, GA and Cynthia Young (Billy) of Valdosta, GA; Five sweet grandchildren: Jonathan Patterson of Valdosta, GA, Destiny Young, Johnna Young, Brandi Young, and Jacory Young all of Valdosta, GA; Father-in-law: Sammie L. Johnson of Lake Park, GA; Two devoted brothers: Ralph Rayam, Jr (Belinda) of Valdosta, GA and Floyd Rayam of Bellville, FL; Two loving and devoted sisters: Jackie Laster (Jerome) of Valdosta, GA and Terry Ann Rayam of Bellville, FL; Six uncles: Curtis Rayam, Sr of Orlando, FL, Leonard Rayam of Newark, New Jersey, Masceo Collier (Vivian) of Bellville, FL, Raymond Collier of Lake Park, GA, James Marshall (Elizabeth) of Sarasota, FL, Fred Marshall (Delores) of West Palm Beach FL; Two great uncles: Clabon Collier and Stepney Cowart; One aunt: Annie Ray (Theodis) of Titusville, FL; One special cousin: Patricia Zachery of Tallahassee, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing friends


The Home Going Service for Mr. Leroy Rayam will be held Saturday, March 15th, 2014 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Bellville, FL where Pastor Desi Nixon is the Pastor and will officiate. The interment will immediately follow at Bethel Memorial Gardens in Bellville, FL. The family will have a public viewing on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.
